Mike Monahan

Mike Monahan has been CEO and executive director of Life Success Seminars since 1994 and the organization’s lead facilitator since 1998. Mike began his involvement with LSS in 1987 and devoted countless hours to the organization as a volunteer before joining the team as executive director.

In addition to facilitating the Basic seminar and Basic Follow-Up each month, Mike has developed and facilitated many seminars and workshops, including Balancing Relationships, Leadership Training, Passport to Your Future, The Plan and Blueprint. Under Mike’s leadership, LSS alumni donated $1.5 million—the total cost—to build the West Chester Conference Center, which is the home of LSS and a conference facility available for rental.

Tracy BushmanTracy Bushman, West Chester Conference Center

Tracy Bushman is the liaison between the conference-center clients and staff. She also manages the conference-center staff. Tracy serves as the key customer-service person for the WCCC, working closely with clients as she plans and manages each event. Tracy oversees the banquet service for LSS’s Basic seminar by coordinating with volunteers to ensure high-quality Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch service.


Steve SherwoodDebbie George, West Chester Conference Center

Debbie George, assistant conference center director for the West Chester Conference Center, is responsible for ensuring all conference-center events run smoothly and for managing the part-time WCCC staff. She is in charge of room set-up, checking the quantity and quality of food delivered by catering services, maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, and ordering all supplies and linens. Debbie joined the WCCC staff in 2006.

As our general manager, Laurie Brunsman supervises day-to-day operations and helps plan long-term strategy for LSS. She also develops partnerships with companies that incorporate LSS programs to improve employee communication skills, promote responsibility and support vitality for accomplishing business and personal goals.

Michele AufdenkampeMichele Vondrell, alumni specialist

In her role as alumni specialist, Michelle Vondrell introduces people to LSS and our seminars. She stays connected with the organization’s graduate base, which spans 48 states and 11 countries, providing support and encouragement. Michelle hosts LSS’s two monthly networking events—Business at Breakfast and InnerCircles for Women luncheon—which help local business professionals make valuable connections. Michelle joined the staff in 2005.

Ann WeberAnn Weber, director of communications

Ann Weber, our director of communications since 2009, works with the LSS team to maintain our brand identity, generates publicity and strategic alliances for the organization, and helps develop long-term strategy. She facilitates all of our marketing and communications efforts, including LSS’s social-media strategy. Ann also assists with program planning for the two monthly networking events, InnerCircles for Women luncheon and Business at Breakfast.

Facilitators

Mike Monahan

Mike Monahan, CEO and executive director

Mike Monahan has helped thousands of individuals identify their self-limiting beliefs and subsequent behaviors so they can adjust their actions, achieve their goals and excel in life. He has been CEO and executive director for Life Success Seminars since 1994 and the organization’s lead facilitator since 1998.

Mike’s ability to bring humor and common sense to difficult and emotional situations allows his audiences to relax and achieve results. He facilitates Life Success’s monthly Basic seminar, which assists people in recognizing and removing their roadblocks to success and in becoming leaders at work, at home and in the community.

Mike feels the best approach to inspiring greatness is to lead by example. Whether he’s facilitating seminars, presenting to groups or working with businesses, everything he does is based on his personal experiences that are easy for people to relate to. One of his most powerful personal experiences was a tour of duty in Vietnam. For his Army service, Mike was awarded a Bronze Star and two Army Commendation Medals, one of which was for valor.

Steve SherwoodKathy Marx

Kathy Marx co-facilitates LSS’s monthly Basic seminar with Mike Monahan. Kathy also facilitates multiple Passport to Your Future seminars, as well as Mid-IPI and IPI Sixth Day, which are follow-up classes to LSS’s bimonthly Inter-Personal Intensive (IPI) seminar. Kathy is a lifelong educator (and learner!), having served as a teacher and counselor in area schools. She currently serves as an administrator for Forest Hills Local Schools. Kathy brings her experience in guiding individuals to new achievement and a passion for learning and growth into the seminars she facilitates.


Teresa QuinnTherese Quinn

Therese Quinn periodically comes to Cincinnati to facilitate LSS’s monthly Basic seminar. She has facilitated Basic since 1988 and has been president and owner of the personal-development company Lifestream Learning Systems Inc. since 1998. “My greatest gift has been meeting so many wonderful people over the years,” Therese says, “and having the opportunity to inspire them to reach for their dreams.”


Steve SherwoodTy Camacho

Ty Camacho co-facilitates LSS’s bimonthly Inter-Personal Intensive (IPI) seminar with Steve Sherwood. Ty uses the interpersonal skills he developed in his 10-year law-enforcement career to help people break through barriers and realize their full potential. He studied at the University of Dayton and lives in Dayton with his wife, Traci, and their daughters, Caroline and Camryn. Ty owns Miami Valley Team Sports, a custom athletic, corporate and casual apparel company.

Steve SherwoodSteve Sherwood
Steve Sherwood is an author and speaker who facilitates change. He is adept at coaching individuals and groups to create breakthroughs in personal effectiveness and business execution. He designs and facilitates experiential personal- and professional-development seminars conducted nationally and internationally, and he has facilitated LSS’s bimonthly Inter-Personal Intensive (IPI) seminar since the organization began in 1985. He is the author of Finding Freedom, the book the seminar is based on.

Steve has spent more than 35 years helping individuals achieve their goals and dreams. With his help, people have learned to reveal their hidden talents and focus on making important, but challenging, choices in life. Steve and his wife, Lisa, live in Macon, Georgia.

Board of Trustees

Ann Brandon
Ann Brandon has worked in the nonprofit sector for the last nine years, including her current position as senior public education specialist at the Women’s Crisis Center in Northern Kentucky. Ann is passionate about relationship-building and helping people follow their dreams.  She uses her experience in fundraising and development to help LSS build a strong foundation for the future.

Mark Casella
Mark Casella is the president and founder of Coppertree Ltd., which helps families to strategically think about how their enterprise wealth can support their pursuits. He is the former chairman of the board and president of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and has served on the Mercy Health Partners Foundation Board and on an advisory board of Aileron, a center for entrepreneurial education. In addition to serving as president of the LSS board, Mark currently serves on the board of directors for the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business.

Scott Davies
Scott Davies is a partner in the Litigation Department of the law firm of Sebaly Shillito + Dyer in Dayton, Ohio. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from The American University in Washington, D.C., and his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law.

Heather Dynes
Heather Dynes is the law firm administrator for Sebaly Shillito + Dyer, a legal professional association. SS+D is a full-service business and commercial law firm located in Dayton.

Dan Fisher
Dan Fisher is a partner and vice president of operations for Barcode Technologies & Services Inc. In addition to his work on the LSS board, Dan has been on the board of directors for the Cincinnati Better Business Bureau since 2006. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Michael Freeman
Michael J. Freeman is a sales/customer-service representative at Benchmark Outfitters in Blue Ash. Michael previously spent 18 years in local TV as a seven-time Emmy Award winning writer/producer at WKRC-TV and WSTR-TV, creating commercials and on-air promotions for both stations. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Cincinnati.

Gary Hunt
Gary Hunt is a CPA, attorney and the senior partner at Battelle & Battelle, a CPA and consulting firm in Dayton. His expertise includes tax, estate and financial planning, litigation support and business consulting. Gary is a member of the board of directors of Citywide Development and Tawasi. He is on the advisory board for KeyBank’s Dayton and Cincinnati districts and also serves on the finance and audit committee for Citywide Development. Gary earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from West Virginia University and earned a law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law.

Diana McLouth
Diana McLouth is a faux artist, painter and owner of Wall by Diana. She is an umpire for women’s lacrosse at both the high school and college levels, and she is the board chair of the Southern Ohio Women's Lacrosse Umpires Association. Diana graduated from the University of Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Sarah Wehmeyer
Sarah Wehmeyer is the lending supervisor for United Community Bank in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and has been with the bank for more than nine years. In addition to serving on LSS’s board of trustees, she is a board member for the Lawrenceburg Greendale Soccer Club. Sarah is attending Harrison College to earn a degree in business management.
